Internet Access

  • As we transition to remote learning in the coming days, a home internet connection is more important than ever.

  • We recognize that many of our students do not have internet connections at home.

  • Comcast, a partner of the Salt Lake Education Foundation, is generously offering a program called “Internet Essentials,” which would allow families to receive two free months of Internet service, with the option of continuing thereafter with monthly payments of $9.95 per month.

  • Salt Lake City School District families have been pre-approved for a streamlined enrollment process.

  • Call 855-846-8376 or apply online at www.InternetEssentials.com. You’ll be asked to provide your contact information and school name. No other paperwork is necessary, and if you meet the program eligibility criteria, you will be approved and could have home Internet within 5-7 days. After your free two-month trial, you can cancel at any time.

Remote Learning Plan

  • Our teachers will work on Monday and Tuesday to transition the majority of our student learning online. For classes and grades where online learning is not the appropriate choice, Teachers may also prepare packets or other resources for students to work on during the dismissal.

  • Work during the dismissal will focus on maintaining students’ skills and reviewing concepts already taught at school.

  • We sent out a survey to all families over the weekend to determine internet/computer needs in your homes. On Wednesday, March 18, we will schedule pick-up times for families who need them to check out laptop from us. This will allow our students to continue their learning during the school dismissal.

  • Please be on the lookout for emails in the next two days with information from your student’s teachers and for details about how and when to pick up student coursework or internet-enabled devices on Wednesday, March 18.

    • You will receive email communication at the email address you have provided to your child’s school.

  • If you don’t have an email address on file, you can update your profile in the Parent Portal OR email your student’s teacher directly, using the email address listed on your school’s website. You can find all of our school websites here: https://www.slcschools.org/schools/
